Community Huddle is a non-profit organization headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Community Huddle was founded by Byron Marshall on September 27, 2015. Birthed out of Marshall's grassroots work serving as a civic organizer, he mobilized communities to engage in the electoral process to ignite change and shape common sense policies with the power of their votes. But with partisan gridlock and political polarization, Marshall was compelled to expand on his grassroots civic work in a nonpartisan and equitable way; thus he formed Community Huddle.Community Huddle actively engages our community through back to school drives, nonpartisan voter awareness and registration drives, mentoring and other outreach and events. Community Huddle also promotes peace and civic virtue, one of the ways is with our 'TH!NK BEFORE YOU ACT' campaign which challenges our community to employ thought into every action in our efforts to STOP THE VIOLENCE, CARJACKING & RECKLESS DRIVING. We advocate for equitable treatment and greater transparency between all members of our community. We also invite the community to participate in our annual no violence, know peace marches held each year to denounce violence and publicly reaffirm our stand for peace everywhere.Community Huddle's work is paramount for building and sustaining a healthy, safe, and vibrant community. We endeavor to further advance our mission for peace and equity for all God's children, no matter the zip code, race, gender, socio-economic status, or education level.
