At Conch Shell Productions, our mission is to develop, workshop and produce new screenplays and plays by writers of Caribbean heritage. Founder, Magaly Colimon-Christopher is a first-generation Haitian-American actress/playwright/producer. The world of her plays often explores life from a viewpoint heavily influenced by the stories her family members shared about the complexities and wonders of Haitian culture and history. Her passion for new works written by similarly "hyphenated" Caribbean and native Caribbean playwrights and screenwriters inspired Magaly to co-found this company with her husband Calvin A. Christopher.Conch Shell Production's workshop, reading series and production objectives are designed to give these emerging writers the opportunity to develop and promote their unique, culturally specific work to new audiences. Conch Shell Productions is a member of Alliance of Resident Theatres/NY. THE HUNTING SEASON is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non‐profit arts service organization.
