CONNECT is a registered non-profit company with direct experience in youth development in Khayelitsha. For the past five years CONNECT has been involved in the initiation and operation of community development projects, including education support, youth empowerment, and enterprise development. In addition to the traditional methods of literacy and numeracy targeted teachings, CONNECT facilitates activities that engage the youth in incidental-learning. Moreover, the company has a strong leaning towards sporting activities, recognising the capacity to engage young people and build transferable skills through participation in sports. CONNECT is committed to making a difference in society. Specifically, CONNECT aims to facilitate youth development in the Khayelitsha community and surrounding areas for lasting social impact. Leveraging the skills and capabilities of the CONNECT team and working closely with local stakeholders, CONNECT endeavours to build the skills of and create opportunities for affected youths. By building capacity and resourcing existing community projects, CONNECT extends the reach and impact of these projects. • For the past five years CONNECT has contributed to the empowerment of the disenfranchised South African youth and the sustainable improvement of their livelihoods, in Khayelitsha. • CONNECT understands the communities in which it works and has built an established network with local schools and community leaders. • Working in partnership to achieve social development objectives, CONNECT has experience in collaborating with both the private and public sector.
