Research - Leeds, England, United Kingdom
Vast amounts of consumer data are generated each day in the UK. These data provide valuable insights into human behaviour and help organisations operate more effectively. Researchers are also able to use consumer data to study what is going on in society today. This can have numerous positive impacts including transforming healthy eating behaviours, changing consumer purchasing habits to meet retail sustainability goals, and understanding how COVID-19 lockdown policy affected UK-wide mobility over Christmas. The Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC) was established in 2014 to lead academic engagement between industry and the social sciences, and utilise consumer data for academic research purposes. We hold datasets that are available to researchers across the globe (on application) and conduct our own research on data provided by partners. We bring together world-class researchers from the Universities of Leeds, Liverpool, Oxford and University College London. Researchers also come from a range of disciplines including Geography, Nutrition, Business and Transport.
