Government Administration - Rincón, Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands
High on a hill in a beautiful and timeless setting you can find a large solitary white building above an open field dotted with small traditional houses. The Mangazina di Rei (1824) is the second oldest stone building on Bonaire. Once used by the dutch government to store provisions for the slaves, it has become a learning center in which the young and elderly come together to keep our cultural heritage alive. A great stage from which the elderly can teach new generations about sustainable living, and inspire them with the advantages of outdoor exercise, farming, healthy eating, entrepreneurship and sharing. A fascinating way for our youth to soak up the old ways. Or as we like to say...See, feel and taste the culture of Bonaire
