Service Providers don't need to be ‘told' what to do by an outside organisation. You already know your strengths and weaknesses. At CDCS we work collaboratively with organisations to address issues constructively in a way that encourages ownership of the solutions.Over the years we have been working with community care services we have recognised that there are five common problem areas that service providers face; this was particularly true for those organisations operating in rural and remote areas and those whose workforce or client base were from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The five big challenges are:1. Compliance against standards and regulations.2. Customer service - Engaging with consumers and meeting expectations.3. Appropriate information and resources for staff and consumers; and a clear communication strategy (internal and external).4. Relevant and appropriate training for staff and support for carers.5.
