CultureShift designs and facilitates participatory approaches to change in organisations and communities, and we also build capacity for organisations and communities to do this work for themselves. We are teams of knowledge workers, relationship builders, facilitators, communication strategists, researchers, evaluators, graphic designers, writers and producers of learning resources, mentors and teachers of participatory methods of change. We have a particular commitment to children and family wellbeing, to working cross-culturally in Aboriginal/mainstream settings, and to addressing the pressing matters of climate change. With a background in Social Ecology we are focussed towards social and ecological sustainability. Our twenty years of participatory work covers policy and practice development in areas such as health promotion, early childhood services, aging and disabilities, climate change, family and domestic violence, first world poverty, environmental management and adult community education. We are of the view that when a community or organisation is addressing complex, demanding, rapidly changing circusmtances, designed participatory approaches to manage the change, rather than pre-determined and top down approaches, make the outcomes relevant, understandable, ethical, agreed, and focussed towards a shared future.
