Fund-raising - Cupertino, California, United States
Our Rotary club consists of community and professional leaders who come together to serve others in our community and the world. Whether it's providing meals for families visiting sick children at local hospitals with JW House, fixing up homes with Rebuilding Together, creating a winter wonderland for special needs children and adults with Via West Services, or awarding scholarships to those pursuing AA/AS degrees at De Anza College, our members actively work to build a better community.Globally, through our International Service Committee, we partner with non-profit organizations to provide grants that help those in need around the globe. Recent projects included hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, support for a battered women's shelter in Ecuador, training for educators in rural China, and school transportation for orphans in India.Friendship and shared interests are an important component of what it means to be a Cupertino Rotarian. Our members enjoy connectingwith one another through affinity groups that include a growing number of activities including (but certainly not limited to) bocce ball, book club, cycling, field trips, and golf.Funding for our humanitarian activities comes from theCupertino Rotary Endowment Foundation and four large annual fundraisers. Through projects large and small, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people and to bringing goodwill and peace to the world.
