The Custom Plum Company's mission is to bring innovation to the stone fruit industry. As a company involved in the Zaiger Genetics breeding program since 2002, we provide a fully integrated approach to developing new stone fruit in South Africa. The Custom Plum Company (CPC) was established in 2015 as a joint partnership between Unlimited Group and Fresca Group, ultimately combining both companies' material and technical/promotional strengths.Our team has a wealth of pre-and postharvest expertise, from selecting potential new varieties to evaluating each variety and planting the first trial blocks at strategic locations. Once the trees are in the ground, we work closely with growers to provide comprehensive technical support. In establishing these close working relationships, we enable our growers to realise the full potential of their investment in CPC varieties. All our technical experiences are shared throughout the grower base through updated cultivar factsheets and timely newsletters. CPC is unique in that we are involved throughout the process, from varietal selection until the exporter becomes involved during the picking and packing process.CPC is always at the forefront of pushing boundaries of flavour, sweetness, and appearance to produce exceptional new fruit varieties of Pluots, Plumcots, and Cherryplums. We always strive for a consistently better eating experience for the client.
