Cyphers was founded by Marcus J. Bazley and Victoria Hamblen in late 2013, a theatre company that incorporates story-telling techniques with a back to basics approach Cyphers believes that theatre at its core should be actors telling audiences a story. We create engaging and accessible adaptations, free from technical tricks and elaborate setting to allow the imagination to run wild. We use performance spaces that harness the atmosphere of each production to ensure every performance has its own unique character. The Good Review Cyphers is also passionate about helping bridge the gap between student/university theatre and professional theatre. We work with university drama societies to cast a small number of their most exceptional performers in some of our productions, alongside our professional cast. We will also provide the opportunity for students interested in directing, design or stage management to assist our professional team. In addition, we run workshops with societies on a variety of performance styles, rehearsal techniques and theatre practice.
