The Corporation is organized for educational purposes and not-for-profit, within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. To the extent consistent with the above general purpose, the specific mission of The Daily Cardinal Alumni Association, Inc. shall be to: (1) provide professional development resources to support the Daily Cardinal and its current and future staff, including, but not limited to, mentoring, scholarships and internship and job placement; (2) provide former Members of the Daily Cardinal staff the opportunity to renew and maintain social, personal and professional relationships with their colleagues and contribute to the ongoing success of the Corporation; and (3) promote the best interests of students involved in The Daily Cardinal as part of their on-campus experience. No profit shall inure any Director, Member or person other than lawful and reasonable compensation for services or commodities furnished to the Corporation, nor may any dividends or net income be paid to any person or party.
