Dare 2 Dream Leaders, Inc. (D2DL), is a 501(c) 3 youth empowerment organization that serves youth ages 11-18 in the East Flatbush area of Brooklyn, NY. Established in December 2010, our mission is to empower youth by providing education, skills and resources that will help build them into dynamic future leaders who are economically and socially independent. Since our inception, we have developed various programs which include entrepreneurship, creative arts, etiquette, financial literacy and community service/community building. D2DL flourished out of Founder and President, Ijana Nathaniel's desire to empower our youth to reach their highest potential. Serving as a youth leader for over seven years, Ijana wanted to expand her reach within the community by establishing a non-profit organization that would provide students with practical real world experience. Her ultimate goal was to help them unleash their inner dreamers. Her idea was set in motion during her senior year at New York City College of Technology when she presented the initiative to fellow classmates and college professors who encouraged her to build the organization. Her mantra is what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? What better way to empower our youth, then by leading by example.
