DATA is a extracurricular, non-profit, data science group co-founded by 4 Computer Science students at ICMC, University of São Paulo.Our dream is to be at the front of the driving forces making São Carlos a growing international data science hub. We currently offer a 12-week introduction data science course to about 40 students teaching all basic DS concepts such as Python, key algorithms, machine learning, data pre-processing techniques and frameworks. We also help connect people with advanced knowledge in the area to promote discussions and to improve collaboratively, both through a advanced study group and organizing public events.
