Since the moment it had become apparent the Linguistics' importance in the Computational area, and bearing the necessity to restate our place of speech in mind, as Linguists, the Computational Linguistics Study Group, has been created.During the beginning of 2021, in the University of Brasília (UnB), some pupils from the Literature and Language Institute and the professor adviser, Thiago Blanch Pires, led off the group with the intention of fostering researches on the interface of the Linguistics, Computation, and Artificial Intelligence areas.The GeLinc aims to study, develop and spread knowledge about the automatic treatment of natural languages, by means of a linguistic scope, producing contents, workshops, scientific dissemination and tools that aim to give opportunity of learning and development to people interested in the wide area of Computational Linguistics.
