The Deanwood Citizens Association (DCA) is a not for profit, volunteer led, civic organization representing the interests of residents in the historic Deanwood neighborhood in Washington, D.C. DCA's members, programs, partnerships and advocacy initiatives seek to make Deanwood a safer, more beautiful, and more connected community for all. DCA was established in 1912 by concerned neighbors seeking to improve their neighborhood. The history of the Deanwood neighborhood and the history of the Deanwood Citizens Association are rich and filled with inspiring examples of civic engagement and community cooperation. DCA is a member of the Federation of Citizens Associations of the District of Columbia and the D.C. Federation of Civic Associations (DCFCA).
