Empowering the disabled and those with chronic medical and psychiatric conditions to make the right service dog decisions. My primary focus is to assist individuals/families as they train their own service dogs. This includes but is not limited to service dogs to help those with PTSD (military andcivilian), traumatic brain injury, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, autism, schizophrenia, and mobility issues, as well as families with special needs children who have multiple intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to training people and their dogs, I am part of a team creating a new service dog program for Veterans with PTSD, TBI and/or MST. I also evaluate family dogs to determine their potential as service dogs, provide public access training and testing for service dog teams, and provide certification for dogs who have passed their public access and qualify as service dogs based on task-based requirements.I am happy to provide free counseling for anyone seeking information about service or therapy dogs.
