My work has swung adventurously from the yachts at the Cannes Film Festival (negotiating multi-million pound deals); to healing work via dance in the war zone of Sri Lanka with orphans and refugees. In Glasgow I am known affectionately as the ‘Broomielaw Dancing Queen' where my morning dance ritual captured the imagination of the office workers quickly making it's way onto the BBC and world channels. Although a Philadelphia native, where I grew up under various challenges, I have been based in Scotland for eleven years. My various artistic pursuits in the worlds of dance/film/theatre/writing/activism have taken me global with work in Asia, Europe, Canada, the Middle East, USA and the UK. I have written for the Glasgow Herald and published one book ‘The Body) of Earth)'.In May 2010 I was recognized by the Scottish Parliament for my contribution to dance and peacemaking via an official motion submitted in honour of Unesco World Dance Day.Currently I am seeking to expand my 'Random Acts of Dancing' into the whole of Scotland before launching it worldwide.I have lectured in schools and universities in the UK, US, Sri Lanka, and Japan.
