The Demitasse Players was founded in 2016 by playwright and author Richard Cirulli with the mission to write and produce plays and movies that address mental disorders. In the hope of raising awareness to these common and unpopular family of illnesses. The playwright believes the stage is an excellent venue to educate the public about mental disorders, and to help remove the many taboos associated with them.According to some government statistics, only about 17% of adults are considered to be in a state of optimal mental health.
