The Democratic Reform Party is a new political party, founded in 2011 as a movement which seeks to empower people and reinvigorate our democracy at every level of society from local to global. We are committed to helping shape a society which is open, transparent and democratic; a society which embraces diversity and difference, and comes together peacefully under a common set of values; a society based on collective and co-operative betterment through democratic empowerment and decentralisation.We intend to build a movement for real change, based on deep-rooted reforms that go above and beyond the status quo. This is not a temporary or transitory movement, but a continual and lasting one. We believe that a healthy society is one that is in a state of continual change and development, and that the state structure should reflect this.
