They form the key to the existence of this cultural organisation and binds together more than 1500 South-African women. Die Dameskring has been making a difference in the lives of women across South Africa since 1976. As non-profit organisation, this group of women focuses on empowering women to make a difference in the community that she is part of. Die Dameskring also often partakes in various community projects. "Inspired Afrikaans speaking Christian women make a difference as leaders in their communities" and in South Africa".Meetings take place on a monthly basis. During these meetings, actuality topics are discussed and thus the members gain knowledge and empowerment. Area conferences take place on a bi-annual basis, and feature top speakers from various industries who address the women on important topics. Every member receives a copy of the quarterly members' magazine, "Granaat", which contains a wealth of useful information and interesting and entertaining articles.
