Founded in 2006, Digital Development's mission is to create a digital knowledge world where vulnerable and disadvantageous classes of society, especially socially excluded youth and young women, can participate and benefit. Digital Development uses technology to advocate on behalf of young people, to ensure that all people are treated equally and that their basic needs are met. Digital Development encourages youth, especially young women, to get involved in these activities and to use information and communication technology to promote equality and fight poverty. Digital Development raises awareness about the importance of taking advantage of new technologies as a tool for economic, political, and social development.
