Lack of access to water is a major cause of poverty. Although it is a contentious claim to make, DoingWells believe that nothing—not access to education, clothing, or agriculture—is as important as access to clean, drinkable water. Without water, it is difficult for humans to survive for even a few days. Once the first link in the chain of poverty – lack of access to life's basic necessities – is broken, the remaining shackles will proceed to disintegrate. DoingWells is run by people who are passionate and are committed to making a difference. Since we are student run, we have no employees and minimal administrative expenses. In fact, this allows the complete allocation of DoingWells' funds and donations towards efficient, productive, and purposeful building of our well at a substantial rate aimed at helping stricken parts of the world. The building of our wells meaning we can accomplish substantially more than comparable charities with the same amount of funds.
