Dreams Soar, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by Shaesta Waiz, whose mission is to inspire the next generation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and aviation professionals, especially young girls. Dreams Soar's first mission was the Global Flight for STEM in 2017. Shaesta flew around the world solo in a Beechcraft A36 Bonanza, becoming the youngest woman in history to circumnavigate the globe solo in a single-engine aircraft. She visited 22 countries in five continents, flying approximately 25,000 nautical miles in 145 days. Through Dreams Soar's 32 Outreach events in 14 countries, Shaesta inspired over 3,000 children and young adults to believe in themselves and allow their dreams to soar.Shaesta is Founder and President of Dreams Soar, and her powerful story is what inspires people of all ages around the globe. Born in an Afghan refugee camp, she and her family traveled to America in 1987 to escape the Afghan-Soviet war. Shaesta attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree, the first in her family to do so. She holds a commercial pilot license and is the first certified civilian female pilot from Afghanistan.
