DSE Scotland Limited are an independent occupational safety consultancy specialising in workstation assessments (also known as desk assessments, or display screen equipment risk assessments) for computer users. A legal requirement under UK law, the benefits of effective assessments include helping to reduce the risk of ill-heath associated with the use of computers for work, and providing real help to anyone suffering pain or discomfort. DSE Scotland carry out work for organisations of every shape, size and type. Services offered include workstation assessments, accredited DSE Assessor training and advice on the implementation of the DSE Regulations and other relevant workplace safety law. DSE Scotland's 1 day DSE Assessor training course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors, and available as a public event (with regular training dates across the country), or as an in-house option for individuals or groups. This course provides attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to carry out workstation assessments, or to follow up on issues highlighted through self-assessment methods. It is also suitable for anyone who has an interest in (or responsibility for) staff and their welfare, including line managers, safety, HR, facilities, and healthcare professionals.
