DEV focuses on the design, manufacturing, and testing of very fuel efficient vehicles. Think, 15,000 MPGe kind of efficient.We were founded seven years ago to compete in the annual Shell Eco-Marathon. Today, our vehicle can drive 8.5 miles on less than one gram of hydrogen. To put that in another perspective, it means being able to drive anywhere on the globe using the energy in a gallon of gas. Our home is at Duke University, where our mission is to enable more sustainable transport by inventing future electric vehicle technologies. We're a student run organization that uses creative engineering to engage and inspire progress in electric mobility.
