East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG is a NHS organisation created by the Health and Social Care Act 2012. We do this by 'commissioning' or buying health and care services including:• Planned hospital care• Urgent and emergency care• Rehabilitation care• Community health services• Non-urgent patient transportOur area of operations contains:• 5 community hospitals• 2 large acute providers• 2 local authorities• 4 district/borough councilsWe commission acute services from out-of-county Trusts and a range of independent sector providers such as Spire Leicester, Nuffield Leicester and Nations Healthcare, based at the Nottingham Treatment Centre.
