Vision: Education Across Borders transforms communities through bonds of genuine relationship. Our work promotes personal and societal change rooted in a vision of the common good. Acknowledging a world characterized by extremes of poverty, violence, and misunderstanding, we believe that we are created to be one human family, and that service, solidarity, and accompaniment reveal the path to healing, strengthening and uniting this family. We believe that our brokenness offers opportunities for change. Through accompaniment we create a culture of service that transforms our physical, mental, and spiritual realities, especially those of the most marginalized. Mission: We work in partnership with marginalized communities in the Dominican Republic to co-create lasting solutions to extreme poverty, through educational, community development, and service-learning programs. Our Programs: Education: Scholarships (pre-school through college) & Literacy Community Development: Housing, Basic Health Care & Sanitation, Environment & Agriculture Service-Learning: Immersion Programs & Community Service
