Education Management - Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
Edunique is a non-profit transformation initiative that aims at bridging the resource, delivery and motivation gap among high/secondary schools under Kenya's education system. We focus on three key strategies to achieve the aim: Student mentorship, in a bid to inspire them into becoming dependable people once they are let to join the outside world, teacher training on the use of technology and audio-visual learning aids while teaching STEM subjects and identifying and raising funds to cater for the needs of the different schools to help in the delivery of technical subjects. These strategies are to make sure every student in Kenya has access to quality, all round education, a learning environment and mindset for them to achieve their goals. We understand that in Kenya, high schools are grouped into 4 categories: the national. extra county, county and sub-county schools. Students are absorbed into these schools mainly based on their K.C.P.E performance. The challenge that is experienced is the fact that most county and sub-county schools are under-resourced, an occurrence which make it impossible to deliver content in practical STEM and technical subjects. Our mission, therefore, is to invest in high school education while embracing inclusivity in order to empower and equip the next generation of leaders. We exist to source funds from government agencies, donors, well wishers and other stakeholders to help improve the delivery of STEM subjects in all high schools. In the long-term we envision a world where all students are given an equal opportunity to learn, innovate and thrive.
