ECF was started in 1961 by a core group of 22 individuals with a goal of unifying the highly fragments industry.We are a non-profit trade association, owned entirely by our members with a primary purpose of unifying and strengthening all segments of Florida's electrical industry. We are comprised of 14 local chapters that cover the entire state of Florida.We are committed to supporting education and continuing education for all of its members. We do this by providing FREE continuing education programs for all members. This includes all 14 continuing education hours needed for an electrical contractor's license renewal.We continually collect and disseminate information that will help members be better business professionals. Information topics includes code changes, industry updates, product recalls and legislative activity.ECF local chapters provide monthly opportunities for networking, educational updates and speakers. They host social events and outings, and many have annual product showcases to help keep members 'up to speed' on new developments.ECF is education, information, but most importantly ECF is people. Just like you and me, people who earn their living in the electrical industry. People who want to learn more, do a better job and take pride in their craft.
