The European Law Students' Association, ELSA, is an international, independent, non-political and non-profit association for law students and young lawyers. ELSA is represented in 43 countries by more than 50,000 law students from more than 300 universities.ELSA Denmark consists of four local groups; ELSA Aalborg, ELSA Aarhus, ELSA Copenhagen and ELSA Odense.One of the main goals for ELSA is to contribute to legal education, to foster mutual understanding and to promote social responsibility of law students and young lawyers. ELSA contributes to the international spectre of your education, and at the same time ELSA provides you with the largest network of other law students.At the moment the ELSA network consists of Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg. Malta, Montenegro, The Netherlands. Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom.ELSA also cooperates with other law student associations, such as ILSA in North America, ALSA in Asia, ALSA in Australia, ALSA in South Africa and AEJCI on the Ivory Coast.
