I deliver expert, customized coaching services to small businesses in the federal contracting area. I help my clients reduce the learning curve. I often serve as an accountability partner, keeping business owners on target, providing another perspective, and assisting small business leaders in addressing difficult situations with the federal government. My perspectives and expertise were developed while serving in the Department of the Navy for over 30 years as both a Contracting Officer (major weapons systems and services) and Small Business Professional. I retired in 2019 as a member of the Senior Executive Service and Director of the Department of the Navy's Office of Small Business Programs. As a personal coach I work with accomplished women who want more fulfillment in their personal and professional lives. They appear to have it all together, but are exhausted and overworked, rarely take time for themselves or their health, and want to make big life changes but don't know how. I help them take control of their lives so they can free up time for self-care, improve their health, and find fulfillment. As a keynote speaker, I cover a range of topics from federal contracting and leadership to overcoming adversity. I'm vulnerable and share my personal story. Too often people believe they are alone, that nobody understands. They are afraid to ask for help. Our stories serve as connectors, enabling us to gain strength from our common experiences. I host the Onward Podcast featuring conversations on facing adversity and moving forward. I have my own stories of overcoming obstacles. I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in the 6th class of women. I was the first female officer on my ship to earn the Supply Corps Surface Warfare Pin and the second Supply Corps Officer to serve as a Naval Academy Company Officer. We are not alone and our stories matter. Often someone's story of overcoming adversity becomes part of someone else's survival guide.
