Emperiod is a project part of the University College Utrecht Enactus team. Founded in 2020, Emperiod aims to tackle the widespread issue of period poverty, which impacts one in ten women in the Netherlands. The concept behind the Emperiod project is to create sustainable, reusable and affordable sanitary products that are accessible to all. Emperiod is currently working on developing their prototype.
