Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) is one of the nation's largest uranium producers and Australia's longest continually operating uranium mine. ERA's operations are located in a highly sensitive area, recognised internationally for its unique ecosystems and biodiversity, significant environmental and cultural heritage values and with a long tradition of human habitation. ERA's operations on the Ranger Project Area will cease in January 2021 and we have embarked upon a progressive rehabilitation plan through to 2026 to restore the site to a condition that would eventually allow it to be incorporated into Kakadu National Park. ERA is undertaking this process in close consultation with Traditional Owners and all Territory and Commonwealth Government regulations.
