Public Safety - Washington, DC, US
We the People Project is a non-profit dedicated to achieving equal rights for the 4.7 million Americans who live in U.S. territories and the District of Columbia. We the People Project's mission is simple: equal citizenship, equal rights, and equal representation for all Americans, no matter where you live. Ending the second-class status of Americans in the territories and DC requires new ideas and a new civil rights movement. We the People Project is taking up this challenge through impact litigation, innovative policy work, and organizing and communications strategies centered on empowering Americans in the territories and DC to tell their own stories. Working together, we can create a new civil rights movement centered on guaranteeing equal rights, wherever you live. Visit us at www.equalrightsnow.org to learn more! We the People Project's President and Founder is Neil Weare, a civil rights attorney who grew up in Guam and currently lives in Washington, D.C.
