Event Safety Institute is the independent centre of expertise for crowd management and event safety. ESI was founded in 2014 in The Netherlands. ESI's mission is to contribute to safe, healthy and sustainable events. It does this through research, advice, training and education. Theme areas within ESI are Safety Management, Security Management, Crowd Management, Mobility Management and Crisis Management. Event Safety Institute helps those responsible for safety in crowded places with training and education, advice, planning and coordination on the implementation of crowd safety management. ESI operates completely independently. The approach we advocate is pragmatic, with a personal touch. ESI is member of the Global Crowd Management Alliance and works closely with crowd safety specialists around the globe. ESI delivers courses on Crowd Safety together with prof. dr. G. Keith Still in The Netherlands and Australia.
