The 5% Movement is an NGO based on the simple idea that Syrians in Syria and in the diaspora together have the tools needed to make Syria flourish. Through a unique crowdsourcing platform that not only collects funds but invites people to donate their skills, the rebuilding of Syria becomes a community effort. The 5% Movement aims to build a bridge between expert volunteers looking to help and activists needing professional support for grassroots projects. By working together on these projects, we can advance the values of the revolution and contribute to the economic and social development of Syrian society. Syrian activists are highly educated, professional, and dedicated beyond all imagination, but they cannot build a new country alone. The 5% Movement aims to create a philosophy of consistent support and solidarity that erases borders and brings people around the world together to create change in Syria. By creating a platform for people from all fields of expertise to support independent Syrian projects, the 5% Movement changes the definition of assistance from an isolated monetary donation to hands-on support for well-deserving projects across Syria that wouldn't have gotten publicized otherwise.
