Started in 2007 by former Queens Borough President Claire Shulman, the Flushing Willets Point Corona Local Development Corporation is an organization composed of private and public sector stakeholders that seek to develop a comprehensive set of economic development goals for the Greater Flushing – Willets Point – Corona area.The LDC is dedicated to the facilitation of development projects that help revitalize and stabilize the communities of Greater Flushing Willets Point Corona of Northern Queens. We focus on development initiatives including area-wide parking and traffic solutions, rezoning opportunities, the expansion of affordable housing, infrastructure improvement and mass transit.
