Fotos For Favelas is a charitable organization that raises money for children living in Brazilian slums through the sale of their photographs.Fotos For Favelas is a photography project that took place in July 2011 in the Rocinha favela (a shantytown) in Rio de Janeiro. Eleven children ages nine to fifteen participated in the month long photography course where they were taught basic photography skills and given the opportunity to take pictures in their neighborhood. Their photos are now being sold to raise money for their community. The photos are available for individual purchase or in book format.
