Established in 2005, Galería Gema Llamazares is born following a clear line of action aimed at the promotion and dissemination of contemporary art, as much from emerging artists as from renowned creators. Located in Gijon, at a strategic cultural area downtown, it counts with 400 square meters between espacio_1 and espacio_2. It is also equipped with a black cube designed for the particular needs of videoart, and a white cube oriented towards installations. A physical and documental contemporary art archive is at disposal. Its programming, distinguished by its coherence, has an average of fourteen exhibitions per year. During the last few years, the gallery has had a continuous presence in art fairs, promoting young artists with produced and curated exhibitions by espacio_2.
