Nonprofit Organization Management - Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Gennarosity Abroad is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to provide education, skills and vocational training, health literacy, clean water, employment, aid relief, access to healthcare and preventative health measures and support to Nakuru County in Kenya. We are a secular organisation that support people in need regardless of age, religion, race or any other characteristic. Gennarosity Abroad was founded in 2010 by Genevieve Radnan when she had spent time in Nakuru County in Kenya. Genna raised funds and organised a team of local builders to build a new kindergarten, "Karunga's Emanuel Kindergarten", which had an increased student capacity from 18 to 45 and shortly after, Gennarosity Abroad became registered as an Australian charity. After the completion and success of the Kindergarten project, Gennarosity Abroad embarked on a new goal to provide education and training for women to empower them through financial independence and thus Grandma Jenny's Training Centre was born. The centre teaches 40 women per year with limited or no education in sewing, mathematics, business studies, health education and English and Swahili language skills. Gennarosity Abroad's third development project is the Toto Tania Medical Clinic. In Nakuru County, access to quality healthcare is very limited, and the maternal mortality rate and child mortality rate are both extremely high. The Toto Tania Medical Clinic will provide affordable and free basic health services to the Nakuru County community with a special focus on mothers and families, reducing avoidable deaths.Plans for the medical clinic are currently underway and we are looking for specialists to help in developing and construction, contact us today to find out how you can contribute to Gennarosity Abroad's next big life changing project!
