Girls for Education is a student fundraising group that fundraises on behalf of the Create Change Foundation. The Create Change Foundation is a Canadian NGO that instills confidence in young women in Canada and Ghana to help them reach their full potential by offering youth and young adults living in extreme poverty in Ghana, Africa, get access to education, work experience, literacy classes and basic needs to instil equality and empowerment in communities that will be fully sustainable throughout generations so that community leaders can inspire youth in their community to stay in school, and assist the elder community in understanding the value of education. Locally, we are working to inspire and empower the local community. Soon we will begin sharing Create Change Empowerment classes and GFE upcoming seminars on leadership and empowerment.We are currently recruiting volunteers from Uottawa.
