Girls in Science and Technology is a non-profit dedicated to empowering, encouraging, and engaging elementary school girls in STEM, with special emphasis in the aviation field. While most STEM programs for girls begin in middle school, our aim is to focus on girls in grades K-5, when attitudes toward STEM are forming. By introducing girls at a young age to science, technology, engineering and math concepts, we hope to foster a love of these subjects through: -Hands-on activities and games, where girls can work together in teams and individually toward a common goal. -Introducing girls to other women in the STEM fields, so they have real world role models. -Scholarships for girls to other programs in their area.
