The mission of Girls Inc. of Carpinteria is to inspire girls to be STRONG, SMART & BOLD. Our programs empower girls and women to achieve personal, social, political, and economic success. In partnership with schools in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties and at our Girls Inc. campus in Carpinteria, we focus on the development of the whole girl. Our comprehensive approach helps girls to value themselves, take risks, and discover and develop their inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, so they grow up healthy, educated, and independent.Girls Inc. of Carpinteria is committed to advancing the rights and opportunities of girls and young women. In 2018-2019, through both our core programs and our outreach to schools, our organization reached 1,148 youth: 749 girls and 399 boys, ages 4-18 in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
