We all want to live in a balanced, thriving community. But poverty, addiction and homelessness limit many in our region from maintaining a healthy quality of life. With so much at stake, it can seem like making a difference is impossible. But collective impact makes change possible. Our Mission:To be the leader of a collaborative community providing high quality, accessible facilities and resources for the local human services nonprofit sector. The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center is called the "Campus of Caring" because it is home to over 18 nonprofit health and human services agencies that help low income and at risk adults, children and families. Why are nonprofit centers important? Tenant partners report that they are better able to achieve their goals (the Center's name lending additional credibility) by maintaining stronger revenues, delivering higher quality services, operating larger programs, and benefiting from improved staff morale, recruitment, and retention. In 2019, our Center's tenant partners touched the lives of over 24,000 individuals in our community through 90 programs delivered by over 200 staff. The economic impact is profound, as the tenant partners' budgets totaled over $17.6 million dollars. Those dollars help to offset and alleviate burdens on other major social welfare systems such as healthcare, the criminal justice system, and education. The Center's programs support sustainability and collaboration for 18 tenant partner agencies. In recent years, the Center has expanded its services, adopting leadership and administrative roles for the broader community, and fiscal roles to distribute funding to individuals in need.
