Nonprofit Organization Management - Chicago, Illinois, United States
The Good Food Accelerator works with food-focused entrepreneurs who serve the Chicago area, providing programs, events and connections that help them grow and position them for long-term success. With an increased focus on working with the underrepresented and underserved communities of Chicago, as well as a commitment to help women- and minority-owned businesses, the GFA's activities provide access to industry leaders and a supportive community, all anchored in a deep understanding of what it takes to be successful in retail, food service and catering. Our cohort programs – Accelerate for Growth and Go to Market – combine a defined program with one-on-one mentoring that enhance and expand start-up and early-stage food businesses potential for success. Over 60 companies have successfully completed one of our cohort programs, covering a wide breadth of products and food-focused services. Beyond the cohorts, GFA Members benefit from a range of classes, panels and other events that provide unique perspectives about the industry and business leadership. Access to the GFA network of experienced experts and industry leaders gives them a chance to explore concerns relevant to their businesses, further supported by the GFA team of in-house experts. Our volunteers are the backbone of the expertise we provide to Members, serving as Instructors, Advisors and Mentors. Send us a message at gfa@familyfarmed.org for more information. If you're a food-focused company who is located in Chicago – or serves the Chicago metro area – let us know! We'd love to welcome you to the GFA Family.
