Education Management - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Founded during the winter and spring of 2020, the Gryphon Senior Society is the first and only senior society specifically for high-achieving members of the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. Gryphons are comprised of student leaders that are involved all over campus, including members of student government, athletics, Greek life, performing arts, and various cultural houses. Beyond this, Gryphons have served to contribute incredible initiatives to both the University in general and the College in specific, such as creating the annual Sophomore tradition of U-Night.As a self-perpetuating organization, the current class of Seniors hand selects the next class of Gryphons from the Junior class every spring. In addition, rising seniors are eligible to be tapped for the first time in the spring of their Junior year, or for a second time in the fall of their Senior year. Throughout the semester, Gryphons can expect to take part in a vast array of incredible opportunities, such as having dinner with the Deans of the School of Arts & Sciences, attending events around campus to support fellow Gryphons, and partaking in various social events both within the Society and with other groups outside of Gryphon.By bringing together passionate members of the College, Gryphon fosters a community of students that are ready, willing, and able to create positive changes around campus. However, Gryphon is not only a space where all of these like-minded individuals can unite in camaraderie. Gryphon is a platform that facilitates the merging of ideas and perspectives and is a tool to help further the goals of both the College, and Gryphons as individuals. To learn more about The Gryphon Senior Society, please email gryphonseniorsociety@gmail.com
