Guardians of Dreams is a social sector organization working to ensure quality life outcomes for children living in orphanages and shelter homes. Guardians' vision is that children in shelters achieve positive adult life outcomes and a smooth integration into society. The aim is to ensure they receive the care, resources and support to grow into fully functional adults. Guardians' mission is to ensure that all children in shelters achieve positive adult life outcomes by strengthening childcare institutions, empowering children and improving policy. Its long-term goal is to evolve into a child care organization with core expertise about the issue, the capability to design interventions based on research findings, scaleable implementation capacity and ability to mobilize resources towards this cause. Started in August, 2015; Guardians is a non-profit startup working with shelter homes in Bangalore and Kochi. Its first round of programmes are: Shelter Renovation, Scholarship and Identity, designed to reach 10 shelter homes and 500 children in its first year.
