Guy Laroche was a famous French fashion designer born in La Rochelle (France) in 1921. After having studies in fashion techniques in New-York he became the assistant of Jean Desses, a famous fashion designer back then. In 1957, he started his own "Maison de Couture" wishing to build personal relationships with customers around the Globe, which then successfully peaked his fame across the world. Guy Laroche's most praised creations include the elegant bare-back black dress worn by Mireille Darc in the movie ‘The tall blond man with one black shoe' (1972).Nowadays, Guy Laroche's brand portfolio includes ready-to-wear fashion apparel, leather goods, jewellery, shoes, eyewear and fragrances.
