Harbinger Tutoring Center was established by a small group of math and language arts teachers in Silicon Valley. As parents of high school students, they were deeply dissatisfied with the existing standardized tests preparation classes that their children had attended without receiving any tangible results. Having paid thousands of dollars to other educational centers, they decided to take the matter into their own hands and create the most efficient and affordable curriculum to help anyone enrolled in the programs they designed.During the first year after launching their standardized test preparation classes, the educators realized that many of their students were non-native speakers, and that the reading and writing parts of their standardized tests preparation curriculum had to be more finely tuned to the needs of these students. As a result, the educators designed special classes to offer a more profound curriculum, with a strong emphasis on developing reading comprehension skills. Currently, we are working on raising our program to an unprecedented level by offering an entirely new online curriculum that will help not only local students but students nationwide to improve their academic performance and considerably raise their standardized test scores.
