Harvard East Asia Society Details
The Harvard East Asia Society, hereafter referred to as HEAS, promotes the study of East Asia within the Harvard graduate students community, particularly among the students in the Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS). While HEAS is centered on the Regional Studies--East Asia degree program, it is open to all those with an interest in East Asian cultures, history, and society in any other departments within the GSAS. Activities include providing information to members on East Asian-related activities at Harvard and in the larger academic community, sponsoring speakers and workshops on items of interest to members, organizing and conducting an annual academic seminar focused on East Asia.
